Mike and Cindi O’Neil, of SolAire Homebuilders, have thrown their hats in and will be participating in the 2008 “Race to the Roof Blitz Build”! Here at Bend Area Habitat, we are very excited about our new partnership with them, in addition to tapping into their “green expertise”. Cindi, Board member with Rotary Club of Bend High Desert, has also been instrumental over the past several years in leading Rotary to support Bend Area Habitat through an annual event. With funds raised from the WestSide Street Dance, Bend Area Habitat is able to build safe, simple, decent, affordable housing in Guatemala as well! A Habitat home in Guatemala runs approximately $3,000, which is considerably less than our current construction costs ($65,300).
