
Bob Cudlin moved to Bend 5 years ago after a career in the energy industry including work at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the U.S. Senate and with several management consulting firms. He is one of our "regular" construction volunteers helping to build Habitat houses three days a week and has been on the Board since 2007. He has BS and MS degrees in engineering and the juris doctor degree in law.
Bill Kuhn, Vice President
Bill Kuhn, VP & Central Oregon Regional Credit Administrator with South Valley Bank & Trust. Bill brings a diverse background of volunteer service to the organization. Bill has served on the Deschutes County Advisory Council, Deschutes County Search & Rescue Board, has been involved with the Oregon 4-H Foundation, Rocky Mtn. Elk Foundation, and United Way. Bill also is a member of the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity Finance Committee. On his upcoming involvement with the BAHFH, Bill states that he is looking forward to joining such a wonderful organization that has a strong commitment to providing home ownership opportunities to deserving families.
Richard Berg, Secretary
Richard Berg is a financial advisor with his wife, Selina Witt. Richard serves on the Vima Lupwa board of directors and is the chairperson of Nativity Lutheran Church. Richard has been involved with Habitat for Humanity in Phoenix, Arizona, Sisters and Bend. He was honored to be included in the October, 2007 Jimmy Carter Build in Los Angeles. In addition to Habitat, Richard assists with various senior and homeless issues in the greater Central Oregon area.
Mike Shay, Treasurer
During his working career, Mike worked for a number of electric and water utilities. Mike was an accountant and spent the last 24 of his 36 years working for Snohomish County Public Utility District headquartered in Everett, Washington, serving as their Auditor/Controller at the end of his career. Mike has volunteered for many non-profit organizations including United Way, Youth basketball, soccer and baseball, various churches and Volunteers of America, Western Washington where he served for 15 years as finance chairman, vice president and president of the Board.
Sylvia Morrison, Secretary ProTem
Sylvia moved to Bend seven years ago from Davis, CA., after retiring from a rather long career in the California State Legislature. Bend Area Habitat for Humanity has presented a rewarding opportunity for volunteer service and Sylvia appreciates the very good work of the organization.
Bree Beal
Bree Beal has been a part of the Central Oregon community for more than 20 years. She currently works as an escrow officer at Western Title & Escrow Company. Over the last two years she has had the privilege of getting to know BAHFH as their escrow officer and as a volunteer.
Duncan Brown
Duncan is a life-long Oregon resident, having moved to Bend from Portland five years ago. His profession as a land use planner has given him over 35 years of experience in projects ranging from the environment to affordable housing. He is presently employed by Otak, an architecture/engineering firm with offices in Bend, the western United States, and the Middle East.
Jo Conover
Jo Conover is an expert in sustainable design and construction project management, a LEED® Accredited Professional and co-founder and former Chair of the Northern California Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. She has an MBA degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Linda Dykwel
Linda 's heart for not-for-profit organizations has included support for Junior League, Soroptimist International, Bend Parks & Recreation, The Tower Theatre and Sparrow Clubs USA. As a key member of the Premier Banking & Investments team at Bank of America, Linda brings financial acumen to the board and to the Family Selection Committee. Her personal interests include real estate development, cross-country skiing, hiking and kayaking.
Gerald Hill
Gerald attended Mesa State College where he received a Bachelor's degree in Business. He worked in human resources for 14 years in Salem, Oregon. In 2002, he moved to Central Oregon to work in the transporting industry in human resources. Gerald has been married for 15 years to Sonia and they have two children, Walker and Ryanne. He's been involved in Habitat for Humanity in Crook County for almost 3 years, serving on the steering committee, presenting orientations, family selection committee, working on the builds and family support.
Mark Huffman
Mark Huffman, President and co-founder of Sage Builders, LLC, has been constructing custom homes and townhomes for nearly 30 years. A two-time recipient of the Central Oregon Builders Association "Builder Of The Year" award, Huffman focuses mainly on developed communities in resort areas. Mark participated in the Bend Area Habitat For Humanity 2007 Blitz Build and has been an active board member for three years. Cooperating with BAHFH in their efforts to provide affordable housing and building safe communities is high on his list of priorities.
Ron Jollo
Retired Physician in Prinville, Ron is a member of the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity board and the Restore Advisory Committee. He enjoys restoring old homes and felt Habitat and Restore were a good fit for him. Ron loves building and has always wanted to volunteer with Habitat. Ron is married to Seanna Ash, a lawyer, and they have one child still living at home.
Carole Nuckton
Carole re-joined the Board after a three-year break during which she continued her work building stronger support for Bend Habitat from Bend's churches and other faith groups. Carole, herself, belongs to First Presbyterian that was in on the start of Bend Habitat in 1989.

Green Building Consultant with the Earth Advantage, Inc., has been involved in energy efficient construction since 1983. He has worked for the Oregon State University Extension Service, Eugene Water & Electric Board and Iris Communications, Inc. In 1996, he established Oikos.com one of the world's first web sites dedicated to green building. Bruce has served in several volunteer organizations including the Building Green Council of Central Oregon and the Lorane Rural Fire Protection District.
