I think I can safely say we're finished with Robin's house - #18. I think she is already moving boxes in. The last thing we had to do was finish some electric work and sheet rock the two small, under-the-stairs rooms that access the crawl space and house all the water stuff. One room was 42 inches high and the other 50. We were stooped there until after 1 doing sheet rock and then Chris had to mud and construct the wall access cover. Many thanks to Ron and Bruce, who installed the under floor insulation in one very long day last Friday.
JeldWen sent over a crew for two days. They did blocking in #15 and #16, constructed scaffolding around # 16 and put in bird blocks between the roof trusses. They also helped with the finish work in #18.
The stem walls for #17 went in and pony walls were built. Next will be floor joists.
There will be a push get # 16 finished. We are building it for First Story.
The permits for #19 should be in our hands soon.
The construction site is closed Saturday, September 4th through Monday, September 6th. Get out and enjoy the many fun events around town this holiday weekend! If you see someone wearing a Habitat logo, shake their hand and thank them for supporting a better community.
