Dear Habitat Homeowner:
Bend Area Habitat for Humanity is working on putting unemployed and under employed Habitat homeowners back to work, with some of the stimulus funding.
This work is construction oriented, for weatherizing homes, and involves installing insulation, caulking, and more. Training will be available and this work involves manual labor in dusty and dirty work environments. Wages will be between $10-16/hour.
If you are currently unemployed or under employed (not working 40 hours per week or not earning a livable wage), please come to an informational meeting at:
BAHFH office, at 5pm, on Monday, April 6th
We will go over the steps you need to take, to be considered for this employment. We need to move quickly, to get folks positioned for employment, under this stimulus program, so your attendance at this meeting is very important.
Secondly, if you would like to learn more about funding, scholarships, and grants for education, you are welcomed to attend our Partnership meeting:
First Presbyterian Church, 230 NE 9th
Monday, April 13th, at 5:30pm
Please call me 385.5387 x225, to RSVP to both or either of these important meetings.
Best Regards,
Sheila Pyott
Family Coordinator
