Most home bakers know that pizza stones are ideal for obtaining a rustic hearth-style crust on breads and dough. There are many commercially manufactured pizza stones available on the market, however, the rustic baker did not start at the kitchen supply store, and neither must you. Sometimes you can find these at the Restore for a fraction of the cost of commercial baking tiles!

The crew that goes on Thursday-Friday-Saturday (especially Steve and Bob the Painter) got an amazing amount done after the painters, textureres, mudders and tapers finished last week.  The early week crew finished under the floor insulation in and the cabinets.  They were in when we came Monday morning.  So we did doors, room and closet, finished the baseboards and a couple of closet shelves.  Bernadette and Pam cleaned around us.

In fact we all seemed to be working around each other all the time as we finished up.  Curt worked on an electric mystery.  He had to find the electric for the fixture near the front door.  It got buried by sheetrock as did two outlets in the hall.  We kept thinking someone's cell phone was ringing as he tested for live electric in the walls.

Plumbers finished the sinks and toilets.  The refrigerator door had to be switched to open the other way.

When we walked away sometime after one today (Wednesday) Chris and Glen were cleaning floors.  Hard to beleieve we're all done.  It has been a fun project.  Now on to Empire and Boyd Acres.

I suggested we string a 'finish' line across the end of Blakely and all run through it! What a run we had! Six beautiful homes and six wonderful families.
