Most home bakers know that pizza stones are ideal for obtaining a rustic hearth-style crust on breads and dough. There are many commercially manufactured pizza stones available on the market, however, the rustic baker did not start at the kitchen supply store, and neither must you. Sometimes you can find these at the Restore for a fraction of the cost of commercial baking tiles!

Tomorrow morning all around Bend people will take extra care with their attire.  They’ll likely choose to put their long underwear under their paint splattered jeans. They’ll layer a sweatshirt over a t-shirt over a long sleeved thermal and they will dig out their sturdy work boots and blow the dust off.  They’ll walk out the front door and immediately turn back inside to grab a beanie to keep their ears warm.

By 9:00 am, from all around Bend, people will gather at 63151 Boyd Acres, like moths to the flame.  What flame will be burning on Boyd Acres tomorrow? The flame of faith.  The flame of love.  The flame of worship.  Tomorrow morning people of varied faiths will come together to begin the construction of our newest Faith Build.  They will bow their heads in prayer to ask for a day of community and selflessness, a day of gathering and acceptance and a day of safety and blessings.

Bend Area Habitat for Humanity invites people of all faiths to work together to build hope in the community.  Bend Area Habitat for Humanity invites you to warm yourself by the flame.

If you are unable to participate in the construction of the Faith Build, we can use your support in other ways.  Perhaps you’d like to provide a meal for an upcoming build day. Perhaps you’d like to act as the church liaison. Contact Robin Cooper to learn what you can do to support this build or make an online donation and restrict it to the Faith Build.
