Tuesday, November 17, 2009 @ 3:22:00 PM - Written by Sophie Paez, ReStore Director
The Environmental Center is offering an 8 week course that teaches and empowers individuals and households how to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.  Originally developed by the University of Oregon's Climate Leadership Initiative, this course educates people on how to help curb global warming in their daily lives and support others in doing the same.  Modeled after the Master Gardener and Master Recycler Programs, participants then commit to 30 volunteer hours in the community in areas related to climate change.  The Environmental Center will help volunteers find such opportunities.

January 26 - March 16 (Tuesday evenings)
6:00 - 8:30pm
The Environmental Center

Cost:  $79 + 30 hours of volunteering OR $219 with no volunteering commitment

Online registration will be available starting December 7 at www.cocc.edu through Community Learning.  For more information, katy@envirocenter.org.
