We had two lovely days and one very overcast so we got a lot of work done this week.
The Heart of Oregon youth had worked on #6 and completed one side of the main roof. So starting on Monday, we dispatched a vigorous crew who worked for three days and finished all except the final course of shingles on the north slope and the ridge itself. We are all very stiff. The Heart of Oregon returns Wednesday and if their crew is as large as before, they should finish the main roof and the garage.
The roof sheathing on # 4 is finished.
We hung doors in #8 and #14. But the wrong size windows were sent so there we had to re-frame to accomodate them. Curt and Bill rode the cherry-picker on the fork lift and seemed to like it OK. Also on # 14 Lois, the father-in-law of one of our future homeowners wore a harness and put tar paper on the roof. That means it is ready to get shingles. They are, in fact, all lined up on the ridge ready for intrepid roofers.
Things are moving ahead. Monday we'll start siding on # 6.
