Siding, Siding, Siding
Siding was the code word this week as a strong team of regular Habitat volunteers were joined by numerous individual volunteers, many with construction backgrounds, to start the installation of siding on a number of our houses. Siding encompasses both trimming out the corners, windows and doors of the house and the actual lap siding and/or board and batten siding. We currently have four houses that are ready for siding or already in progress so this will be a focus for weeks to come. This phase of the construction process can be very pleasing as the change in appearance of the houses is dramatic, as blue board and rough framing is transformed into the near finished product. The photo shows progress on House 14 which is being lap sided on the lower level and gable ends, and board and batten at the second floor.
