Things were quieter this week without our college crews. They did a lot of good work.
The Regulars recruited a couple of very hard workers and we sided. # 14 is completely done and # 8 is about 2/5s done with Hardy Plank on the first story and all but done with the board-and-batten siding on the second story. Scaffolding is still up on north and south sides which complicated the south side and made the north impossible. That scaffolding fits in so tightly we had to thread the Hardy Planks in from one end or the other and do gymnastics around the bracing struts. But as soon as the caulking on the battens are done and the scaffolding comes down you won't see us for dust.
The new guillotine has worked very well making almost factory edge cuts. We love it. The nippers for ripping and cut-outs are also great. There is no concrete dust floating through the air which is a great change.
Nothing was done on # 6 or # 4. We're being held up on the Women Build by permit issues.
Also on # 14 the dry wall was completed and mudding and taping began. Wednesday was beautiful and so was Thursday. Fun to work in the sun.
