Greetings Habitat Supporters!

 

Here at the Bend ReStore the foot traffic has been good, as shoppers realize they can still tackle home improvement and other projects without spending such a pretty penny elsewhere.  We DO need any and all quality DONATIONS of furniture, building supplies and appliances out there to keep up with the demand.  As always, we have a curteous and professional driver standing by (or driving about town) to pick up your large items, or your neighbors', or your friends'...

 

On the DECONSTRUCTION front (our completely free service of removal of non-structural items in exchange for their donation) our core team of volunteers just came back from todays project with 17 matching vinyl windows, some kitchen cabinets, and a lovely entry door.

 

Next week, our trailer should arrive Tuesday or Wednesday with a great and substantial donation of cultured stone- the stuff that looks like rock for facades.  We SHOULD have a new cash register on LOT 2 up and running complete with a person to operate it and answer questions about doors, windows, lumber, carpet, sheeting, insulation, and other items located accross the street from our main building.  At the very least, our severely missed Lumber Salvage Coordinator and all around smiley and helpful guy, Callahan, will be back from a trip to Costa Rica and Panama to lend a hand.
