Crook County Families
Wiechert Family
Suzie and her children moved to Prineville in 2005. Suzie was born in Worchester Massachusetts and later moved to Tucson, Arizona where she graduated high school. She now works as a Certified Nurse Assistant in Crook County where she can enjoy the beautiful rimrock and a country town. "Ours is a musical family,” chimes Suzie. "We have all sang for years, either solo performances or within a choir.” And after hearing about Habitat for Humanity from one of the elders at her church she decided to apply for a home. "Habitat is giving our family the opportunity to purchase a home when I saw no hope before,” shares Suzie. She looks forward to the stability that comes with a home and wants to "decorate it any way I want without having to worry”.
Suzie is a strong member of her community, and has been the president of the Crook County Boys Choir for two years, and her family has also volunteered with the Relay for Life event. Her daughter, Hannah, aspires to be a Certified Public Accountant. She also loves the color lime green and "Disney Princess anything”. Esther, whose personality is very effervescent, wants to be a performer and is currently a part of the cheerleading squad. Joshua is very athletic. He loves football, wrestling, track. His favorite color is yellow and he has a passion for animals.
Welcome to the Habitat family, Suzie, Hannah, Esther, and Joshua!
Randall Family

Lisa Randall has lived and played in Crook County for 33 years. She enjoys the weather, the wildlife and outdoors, including fishing. She and her two kids, Bobby and Kelsie also enjoy swimming at the Prineville Reservoir. Bobby, who enjoys welding at school, has a positive attitude. Besides helping his grandma, he spends some of his free time playing the Wii. Kelsie, whose favorite color is purple, enjoys her youth group at Nazarene Church and listening to music. As a family they like exploring yard sales, watching movies and eating candy cane popcorn.
Lisa has been working at Woodgrain Millwork for 16 years. As a volunteer in many areas at her church she says that it has helped her get outside of her comfort zone. Lisa heard about Crook County and Bend Area Habitat for Humanity through one of our committee members who gave her a brochure. Lisa shares her anticipation of having a "safe and stable home for her children and herself”. And she looks forward to helping others, too, as time goes by.

When Gina found out that she was chosen to be a partner family with Habitat for Humanity she felt very fortunate. The opportunity to have her own home has been a dream come true.
Will Family
On Saturday June 28, 2008 Habitat for Humanity in Crook County celebrated the dedication of a new home for the Will family. Rich and Lana Will, along with their young daughters Autumn and Olivia, purchased the home from Habitat after completing hundreds of ours of volunteer work or "sweat equity."
The day was a great celebration of the hard work the Wills have done, and of the generosity of so many volunteers and donors to have this home completed. The family was presented with two quilts made by Habitat volunteers, a song performed by a friend and a literal truckload of groceries from the folks at Grocery Outlet.
The kids in the last picture are (L to R): Autumn, Brianne (friend), Olivia, and Walker (friend). They are standing in Olivias new bedroom.
