How to Apply for Crook County Homeownership

Crook County is now accepting applications year-round!   
 
To get involved:
  1. Review the Homeowner Qualification Guide.
  2. Fill out and return the Preliminary Qualifying Application.
  3. Once the Preliminary Qualifying Application has been turned in, you will be contacted within 2 weeks by the Family Services Manager who will schedule a mandatory (1 hour) orientation with you.
  4. If you qualify, you will be given Part 1 (of the two-part) application.
  5. Your application will be reviewed on a quartly cycle.
    See Review Dates Below. (You will be notified of acceptance/denial within 2 weeks of quartly review dates.)
  6. Accepted applicants receive Part 2 of application by appointment. Part 2 applications due to the Prineville ReStore two weeks after receiving.
  7. Home Visits completed within 2 weeks after receiving part 2 application.
  8. Board meeting to review recommendations (last Tuesday of each month).
  9. Families will be notified within 1 week of board meeting/approval.
