Most home bakers know that pizza stones are ideal for obtaining a rustic hearth-style crust on breads and dough. There are many commercially manufactured pizza stones available on the market, however, the rustic baker did not start at the kitchen supply store, and neither must you. Sometimes you can find these at the Restore for a fraction of the cost of commercial baking tiles!

Donate to Bend Area Habitat for Humanity

This is no ordinary time for anyone in our community. We recognize the challenges associated with the economy and we understand you may not be able to give as much as you would like, but our commitment is to assure our supporters that whatever they can give will be used to its maximum efficency.

We invite you to see the extrordinary efforts being made every day by our staff, volunteers, and community partners. Visit one of our construction sites, our 4th Street office, or the ReStore. We are doing everything we can to reduce costs, without compromising our ability to serve our families. We anticipate our initiatives will increase the impact of donated support by at least 100% so that every dollar you donate will go twice as far in building homes for our families.

Although these times are hard on all of us, we need to remember that some folks in our community are especially vulnerable. The NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Opportunity Index recently rated Bend the least affordable housing market in the Pacific Northwest and the 14th least affordable in the entire country. The need for Habitat for Humanity in our community is as great as it has ever been.

Though there are many ways to support Bend Area Habitat for Humanity, we believe that web donations are the easiest and most convenient. We want to assure you that our secure site is safe and that your personal information is protected and NEVER SHARED with businesses or individuals. We would also encourage you to consider smaller donations on a monthly basis. A gift of $250 is easier if you pledge to $20.75 per month.
