We are proud to introduce the Gaineys to you as a Habitat family. Mike works for Kleinfelder and Suzanne is a worship leader at
Nativity
Lutheran
Church and also works from home in the medical billing field
. Mike has served his country in the United States Marines during Operation Desert Storm, and also his community as a deputy sheriff. Suzanne has worked as a music teacher in elementary and middle schools. They have two adorable daughters. Their oldest, Hannah, is five, and loves gymnastics, swimming, singing. Gretchen, who is two, loves to be outside kicking soccer balls, climbing on things or playing in a sandbox.
The Gaineys are also very grateful for the support of their church community at Nativity Lutheran, as well as the local American Legion Post. Suzanne said, The biggest thing Habitat offers us is hope for security. I think about some of the rough years our family has gone through and the thought of being able to depend on a home that will be there for us and the kids is something we are so grateful to be a part of. There really arent words to express how we feel. It is such a blessing and a Godsend.
When their first daughter was born, Mike and Suzanne moved to Bend to be closer to their extended family. Here in
Bend, Hannah and Gretchen have the chance to know not only their grandparents, but also their great-grandparents in a close family relationship as evidenced in this photo from the Gainey's home dedication.
Suzanne with her parents sang at the Blakely construction groundbreaking ceremony.

At
Bend Area Habitat, we are honored to have the Gaineys as part of our family. Their long history of serving the community has shown itself in their work with us. It is exciting to be part of something that is helping a family that has already dedicated so much of their lives to helping others.
