The Vetterick Family
Dorinda grew up in San Jose when, in her pre-teen years, her family moved to Prineville, Oregon. Dorinda now has two children who both love the outdoors. Her son loves sports and video games while her daughter stays in touch with environmental issues.
Central Oregon has been Dorinda’s home since 1978 and she still finds the community one of the features she likes most. She is excited that through Bend Area Habitat for Humanity, she will have the security of a home and the ability to be more self-reliant. She is looking forward to raising her children in an affordable home especially during an "unpredictable housing market”. She is very proud of her family in that "even when times were bad, we were able to keep our spirits up…even when all three of us shared one room”.
Dorinda has worked for Pack, Ship and More for over 5 years.
